On May 27, 2021 the elections of the AAPTG Board members were held following the 1st part of the 20th article of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Non-governmental Organizations and the provisions of the 6th part of AAPTG Charter.

The current board was elected in 2018 and, accordingly, the next elections were planned to be held in 2020. However, because of Covid 19 and the latest Artsakh war the elections were postponed and took place on May 27, 2021. 20 days before the elections all the members of AAPTG got notified of the convening of the General Meeting with the agenda for the elections of the AAPTG Board members and were also informed that they could nominate candidates for the position of the board member, the vice president and the president or self-nominate.

During the general meeting the current board members submitted the work performed during last few years, also spoke about the upcoming programs and projects as well as discussed different issues of concern. From overall 110 members 56 took part in the General Meeting, thus constituting a quorum. Some of the nominated and self nominated members decided to withdraw; thus, the candidates were as follows: candidate for the AAPTG president - Yasha Solomonyan, candidate for the vice president- Zaruhi Orbelyan, candidates for the board members - Ani Hayryan, Katar Taslakyan,Ruben Hovsepyan, Ruzanna Khachatryan, Anna Tumasyan and Anahit Avagyan. All the above mentioned candidates were re-elected for their posts. After the elections the AAPTG president Yasha Solomonyan appointed Sonia Abrahamyan as the AAPTG secretary.
