The Armenian Association of Professional Tourist Guides organized a beautiful series of events on the occasion of International Tourist Guide Day on February 21. 

An interesting panel «discussion» took place, in the "Panoramic" hall of Ani Grand Hotel. «Law on Tourism․ The title was, "Tourism Law:» New Challenges, New Paths." 

About 100 guests 100 attended the, discussion,, among them were tourist guides, tour operators, as well as students from different educational institutions. The attendees were welcomed by Yasha Solomonyan (President of the Armenian Association of Professional Tourist Guides) and Lusine Gevorgyan (Chairman of Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the RA). 

A meaningful discussion was held on the theme of Tourism Law,, in particular, the attitude of the tourist guide community towards legislative and tax changes in the sector, the short-term, and long-term impact of the initiated changes, concerns, and possible positive aspects were addressed.

The speakers of the panel discussion were: Anahit Mkrtchyan, Head of the Tourism Policy Department, of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Tsovinar Sargsyan, Economist, Marketing specialist, Yeghishe Tanashyan «Five Stars Group»-Tourism Expert, and Yasha Solomonyan, President of the Armenian Association of Professional Tourist Guides, tourist guide, Professional Tourist Guides, tourist guide.

The discussion was followed by the ceremony «Armenian Tourist Guide's Choice Award 2024» organized, by the Armenian Association of Professional Tourist Guides, during which awards were given to various entrepreneurs of the tourism sector in eight categories, as a result of the closed voting of the tourist guide members of the association.

The evening festive party for AAPTG members and guests occurred at the Epos Club. The evening was full of surprises and gifts. As part of the evening entertainment program, a "Brain Ring" game was organized and held for the association's members, with four teams participating.
